New Ulm Sport Fishermen move open house to June 19
CLEAR LAKE — Due to the weather, the New Ulm Area Sport Fishermen (NUASF) 35th anniversary celebration, originally set for noon to 5 p.m. on May 1, has been postponed to Sunday, June 19.
The even will still be held at Shirley’s Park and Country Retreat on Clear Lake.
Fishing will be encouraged at the event, with free fishing bait, rods and reels to use. Burgers, hot dogs, chips, water and 1919 Root Beer will be available.
NUASF members will be available to assist all anglers.
Information booths will include the NUASF and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fisheries.
Other activities include casting games with prizes.
Everyone over age 15 needs a valid Minnesota fishing license. All children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
