Free food distribution Nov. 22 in Sleepy Eye, Redwood Falls

SLEEPY EYE — Free food distributions are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 22 in Sleepy Eye and Redwood Falls.

Sleepy Eye Public School was awarded a Minnesota Department of Education grant to become a feeding hub for the community.

A curbside meal distribution will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sleepy Eye Elementary School front doors.

Each household may receive 14 meals including breakfast, lunch and supper plus fresh produce and milk.

Everyone is welcome and proof of income is not needed.

Food funded with a $97,000 grant will be distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Orrin Estebo Center entrance for families in the Redwood Area School District.

Those interested in receiving breakfast and lunch meals for five days are asked to reserve meals by calling 507-644-8012. Please leave a message if calling after business hours.
