NEW ULM — The shops of historic downtown New Ulm are teaming up once again for an evening of fashion, fun, and prizes.

This time, they are partnering with four downtown bars to bring a fun new shopping event for the community. “Modenschau Downtown: A Boutique and Pub Crawl” will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 5 to -8:15 pm.

Eight businesses are participating in the event; four boutiques: A to Zinnia Floral and Gifts, Bailey Creek Boutique, Gallery 512 Boutique, and Inspired; and four bars/restaurants: B&L Bar, Lamplighter Restaurant and Lounge, The Retz 227, and Sozial Restaurant and Bar.

Event attendees can stop in to each of the participating businesses and get a ticket, just for walking in the door. In addition, attendees will get another ticket for every $10 spent in the store/bar. During the event, each participating boutique will provide complimentary appetizers and customers can view and shop the new fall collections on display.

Each of the participating bars will have a complimentary specialty beverage for event attendees. Visit as many of the eight participating businesses as you wish by 8 p.m., then bring your tickets to Lola – An American Bistro for dessert, coffee and wine (dessert and coffee are included in the ticket cost; wine and beer can be purchased with cash). Each participating business will have a gift package valued at $50 on display at Lola’s. Choose which basket(s) you would like to win and put your tickets into that basket for a chance to win. Drawing for the 8 prize packages will be held at 8:15 pm.

Tickets for this event are $20 and include: appetizers at all 4 boutiques, a specialty beverage at all 4 bars (n/a options available), dessert and coffee bar at Lola’s, chances to win 8 prize packages valued at $50 each, and $40 worth of coupons to participating boutiques (valid Sept 11 through Sept 28, 2019). Tickets for this event are available at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce and each of the four participating boutiques: A to Zinnia Floral & Gifts, Bailey Creek, Gallery 512, and Inspired.

How to get tickets to enter the drawings: get a ticket at each of the participating shops/bars – just for stopping into the business (up to 8 tickets). Get an additional ticket for every $10 spent in the business (no limit!). You can also get an extra ticket for bringing a non-perishable, not expired food item for the New Ulm Food Shelf to the Chamber or the participating boutiques when you purchase your ticket in advance or bring it with that evening.
