Brown County Area Girl Scout Day Camp

Submitted photo

Brown County Girl Scouts attended Day Camp in early August where they learned about moving from “Here to There.” The girls learned about careers in trucking from Leah Shaver, Kelli Kral, and Angel Schaffer of the National Transportation Institute with Women in Trucking, and Annie Varnes, driver for Wal-Mart as they explored an 18-wheeler, learned about ponies from Lori Krome of Dakota Krome Pony of the Americas, and rode (many for the first time), and kicked up the dust with New Ulm Area Just for Kix director, Molly Reinhart. The girls also had fun with crafts and games and cooked their supper over the fire, with Dutch ovens, and by using box ovens.
