More than 1,000 students were named to the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, N.D.) Roll of Honor for the 20127 Spring semester.
To qualify for the UND President’s Roll of Honor, a student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The student must also have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at the close of the semester, eight of which must be fore traditional letter grades.
Area students on the list include Karla Diehn of Fairfax, Emily Grob and Megan Guggisberg of New Ulm, and Ryan Phillips of Redwood Falls.
UND also named its Deans List for the 2017 Spring Semester. The Deans List comprises students whose grade point average are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the University’s degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”

Nearly 2,000 students were eligible to cross the stage during four commencement ceremonies at the University of North Dakota in May.

Sara Katzenberger of New Ulm received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science during spring commencement at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 667 undergraduates while 145 students received master’s degrees.

Iowa Lakes Community College (Estherville, Iowa) held its Spring Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 12, 2017, on the Estherville campus.

Three local students have earned the distinction of being named to the dean’s list for the 2017 spring semester at the College of Saint Benedict. They are:
Emily Domeier, daughter of Karen and Larry Domeier of New Ulm, a junior elementary education major;
Molly Lax, daughter of Ricky and Monica of Sleepy Eye, a senior English major;
KarleePfaff, daughter of Todd and Kelly Pfaff of New Ulm, a junior elementary education major..

Two local students have earned the distinction of being named to the dean’s list for the 2017 spring semester at Saint John’s University. They are:
Brandon Beranek, son of Glenn and Darcy Ulm of New Ulm, a sophomore elementary education major.
Neil Lindquist, son of Mark and Kristi Lindquist of New Ulm, a sophomore computer science major.

Area students hailing earned Dean’s List honors from Bemidji State University at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 semester.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 1,049 students earned Spring 2017 Dean’s List honors from the university.

The University of Dubuque, Iowa, has named its Spring Semester 2017 Academic Dean’s List.
The list includes Ellie Schneider of New Ulm.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for that semester.

Samantha Kretsch of Gibbon received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire spring commencement proceedings on May 20 in Zorn Arena.
A total of 1,173 students received bachelor’s degrees, including 482 from the College of Arts and Sciences, 325 from the College of Business, 292 from the College of Education and Human Sciences, and 74 from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
