Monday night Concerts moving to Johnson Baseball Park starting August 10. If you haven’t seen the newly-renovated Johnson Baseball Park, here is your chance! Take in musical entertainment by the Sleepy Eye Concertina Band and enjoy refreshments provided by the New Ulm Baseball Association. Gates open at 6 p.m. Concert begins at 7 p.m. Attendance is limited to 250. Social distancing is required. In case of inclement weather, concert will be moved to the Civic Center North Arena.

WE ARE OPEN! Anyone entering is asked to perform a self-health screen posted on entrances and not enter if answering yes to any of the questions. Masks are required, but may be removed when exercising or going in water (wading pools). Users must sanitize their hands upon entrance and maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet. Please note some play areas are not staffed or disinfected. Use at your own risk.

Splash Pad at North Park open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with limited capacity.

Washington and Lincoln Park Wading Pools open daily 1-6 p.m. through August 23 for children 8 and under with limited capacity. They must be accompanied with an adult at least 18 years of age. At the top of every hour, Max of 25 people (kids and adults) admitted to swim for 50 minutes. The pool is cleared and commonly touched surfaces are wiped. Pool is reopened at top of the next hour. Patrols may wait in line to be re-admitted for the next hour. Wading pools will remain closed if temps do not reach at least 72 degrees by 2 p.m. No groups of more than 5 should come to the pool per time. You may rent the pool for a private swim for $64 per hour.

The Recreation Center is open; walking track, fitness equipment and fitness classes for those age 15 years and up. People may also play basketball, racquetball, pickleball and use open gym, but must be at least 12 years of age or with a parent. Maintain 6-foot physical distance as much as possible. Only individuals with memberships are allowed to enter facility. Memberships can be purchased at the welcome desk. Hours are Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 7 to 11 a.m. and closed Sundays. Hours will be extended in September. Follow us on our Facebook Page for the latest information.

The Community Center is closed to the general public, but available for private rentals with conditions. Meals on Wheels and takeout meals are operating. Call 359-2243 for delivery or to reserve a meal for pick up/take out.

Construction on the Rec Center began on the new Expansion project (aquatic center, indoor playground and wellness center. Follow us on Facebook with updates.

German Park Amphitheater construction is complete! Thank you to all donors! Fundraising continues for the shade structure and performance stage! Hermann Heights Park construction continues on retaining wall, entrance road and parking lots.  The entire park, including Hermann Monument, playground and shelters are closed until 2021. Please stay out of the park, as it is a construction zone.
