Act of Kindness for Ridgeway on 23rd residents

Carli Mitchell, the granddaughter of Kenny and Betty Kohlhepp who live at Ridgeway on 23rd, wanted to do something nice for the residents and staff. She is a director with Thirty-One gifts, a faith based company, which focuses on empowering women and giving back. So, she decided that she would donate bins from the company, filled with goodies. She put a message out on Facebook asking people for donations to help cover the cost of the bins. People reached out from many different states and the response was overwhelming! Once all the bins were ordered, she used her commission from the sales to buy all the items needed to fill the bins. Then her 4th grade class in Duluth wrote out cards for each bin. Her husband’s 5th grade class also wrote cards. On Saturday, Feb. 29 her family (as shown in the photo) came to help assemble all the bins and then hand them out to all the residents. It was such an amazing project for the entire family. It took people from young to old to make it all happen!
