New Open Swim Hours! – In an effort to better-serve our customers, our NEW open swim hours are Mondays 3:30-5, Tuesdays 6-8 p.m., Fridays 3:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m.

Winter/Spring Activities Brochure was distributed in The Journal, Shopper and is available online. Registration for winter/spring programs is open! We have new science and camp programs, along with other favorites like swimming, archery, and more! Be sure to view the offerings at newulmmn.gov

Weight Lifting for Women Class is a 6-week, 60 minute program designed to familiarize women with fitness equipment, providing skills needed to plan weight room workouts. Classes run Wednesdays at 5 p.m. Jan. 22 through Feb. 26. Register at the Rec Center or online at newulmmn.gov

Silly Science is a program for 6- to 9-year-olds to do explore different science themes using basic supplies that you can recreate at home! First session is Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the Community Center 4:30-5:15 p.m. Register online or at the Rec Center by Jan. 20.

Tiny Tots Science is designed for a 3- to 5-year-olds to participate with a parent. Listen to a story, do experiments and receive take home ideas each session. First session is Tuesday, Jan. 21, 5:30-615pm at the Community Center. Register online or at the Rec Center by Jan. 20.

Short Track on Saturdays from 7-10 a.m. throughout Jan.. We apologize for the inconvenience.

PreK Open Gym Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11 a.m. Run, chase and burn off energy! Play with balls, scooters, hula hoops, parachutes and more! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Open Pickleball at Rec Center Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 1-2:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10-11:30 a.m. Memberships, Punch cards, cards or Daily Admission apply.

Open Co-Rec Broomball at the Civic Center runs each Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Regular admission, punch card or membership fees apply.

Tot Swim is held the first and third Fridays of the month. This is an opportunity to Swim and play with your tot in the shallow part of the pool. Toys are provided and tot slide will be open. Whirlpool is closed during this time. Admission is $2.75/tot.

German Park Amphitheater is in great need of improvement! Over $1.2M is needed, $800,000 has already been raised. Fundraising for this project continues. You can help transform it into the area’s premier Outdoor Performing Arts venue. Any size of donation is accepted and greatly appreciated. Donor names will be inscribed in the amphitheater. This project is a perfect way to honor your loved one, friend, family, business or any of life’s celebrations. Donations should be made payable to City of New Ulm Amphitheater and mailed to the Park and Rec. Dept., 122 S. Garden Street, New Ulm. Riverside Environmental Learning Center located in Riverside Park is open Saturdays 1 to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. or by appointment (Please call Ron at 507-766-5770.)

Memorial/Gift Giving Ideas – purchase one or more paver stone(s) with your inscription(s), in the walkways near Hermann Monument and/or German Park for $200 each, contact the Park & Rec office at 359-8344. Park or trail benches range in price from $1,500 to $3,500 each, call 359-8344.
