Isabella Portner, from Sleepy Eye was named to the Spring 2019 Dean’s List in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. The Dean’s List honors students who were enrolled in 12 credit hours and earned a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

The University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, S.D., announced its Dean’s List to recognize over 2,080 students for their high academic achievement during the Spring 2019 semester.

Full-time, undergraduate students are named to the Dean’s List if they received a 3.5 GPA for courses they took in the Spring 2019 semester and had no incomplete or failing grades.

Area students on the list iclude:

Natalie G. Hoffbeck, Morgan

Hannah L. Johnson and Bridget L. Fenger, Springfield

Alison R. Benz, Wabasso

Stephen Joyce of Sleepy Eye has earned placement on the Gonzaga University Dean’s List for spring semester 2019. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.

Gonzaga University is a humanistic, private Catholic University in Spokane, Wash., providing a Jesuit education to more than 7,500 students.

Sophia Skye Thoele of Nicollet, was among the graduatees honored by Normandale Community College at its graduation ceremony on May 20 at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, Minn.

Thoele received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Education

The following area residents graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris:

Abbey Guggisberg of New Ulm received a bachelor of arts degree in music.

Mya Kotten of New Ulm received a bachelor of arts degree in statistics, with distinction.

Tyler Sassenberg of Winthrop received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, with high distinction.

Mallory Helget of Sleepy Eye made the Dean’s Honor List at the University of St. Thomas in fall 2018 and spring 2019.

Jenna Helget, New Ulm, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, S.D. She is the daughter of Douglas and Jacalyn Helget.

To qualify for the dean�s list, a student must have a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a four-point scale. They also have to complete at least 12 hours of academic work during the semester.
