Men’s Society Was Founded 69 Years Ago, Women’s 36 Year Ago. ———— NATIONAL SOCIETIES FOUNDED 75 YEARS ———— Almost 170 Members Attend Annual Event Held At Turner Hall. ———— Wednesday evening the New Ulm Turnverein and the Turner Frauenverein celebrated jointly the anniversary of the founding of these societies. The former celebrated its 69th Stiftungsfest and the latter its 36th. Only members of these societies sat down at the festive board. The attendance was better than usual, nearly 170 being present. Group to study Hwy. 15 bypass

A committee of New Ulm, Brown and Nicollet County officials has been instructed to come up with a suggested bypass for Hwy. 15around New Ulm. The instruction came this week at a meeting of interested business leaders and government officials at Turner Hall. It was noted that Hwy. 15 is very dangerous and overcrowded as it goes through New Ulm on Broadway from the south city limits to Seventh N. An eventual bypass of the city is needed, those in attendance agreed, and they hope the city and the two counties can accelerate efforts by highway planners to incorporate the ...
