I.B.A.EXPECTS BIGGEST ENTRY LIST IN HISTORY

——–

New Ulm Will Send at Least Four Teams.-Will Bowl on

February 19 and 20.

——–

Ed. J. Berg desires that New Ulm bowlers, who want to enter the annual IBA tournament to be held at St. Paul, this year from February 12 to 22, give him notice before Saturday evening. It is anticipated at least four teams will go from New Ulm to the annual event.

In an effort to make the 1926 tournament the largest ever held in the history of the organization twenty booster committees will organize in the Twin Cities to solicit business firms for entries from St. Paul and Minneapolis. Ten of the committees will work in Minneapolis and ten in St. Paul. President James C. Raine of St. Paul has appointed chairmen of the various committees.

Many Entries Received

The I. B. A. officials have received a large number of entries and there have been numerous inquiries from cities and towns that heretofore have not had representation in the tournament. Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, Omaha, Sioux City, Wi-nona, Mankato, Grand Forks, New Ulm, Winnipeg, La Crosse, Racine, Rockford, Waterloo, Duluth, Superior, Faribault, St. Cloud and Des Moines teams have sent in entries. A majority of the entries from these cities were in the secretary’s office a few days after the entry list opened as the teams desired some of the choice Sunday and holiday dates. The prize list for the 1926 tournament will be ready within a week or two and it is predicted this year’s prizes will exceed anything ever offered. Judge J. L. Rounds and Harry Locheed of St.Paul and Jimmy Dolan of Minneapolis make up the prize committee.

The New Ulm teams will bowl on Friday and Saturday,February 19 and 20. These are among the best dates of the tournament.
