POULTRY BUILDING READY IN AUGUST
Boys’ And Girls’ Clubs
Use Old Building On
Fair Grounds.
——–
The growth and success of the Brown County Fair has necessitated the erection of a new Poultry Building. At a meeting of the officers and the board of directors held last Wednesday evening the contract for the new building was let to Puhlman Bros. of this city for the sum of $2,545. Cement blocks will be used in the construction of the building which will be constructed along the same lines as the old building, only larger, as the new poultry house will be 24×65 feet.
Boys’ And Girls’ Building.
As a result of the new building, the old poultry house will be converted into a boys’ and girls’ club building this year. For the past few years the boys’ and girls’ activities in the County have grown at such rapidity that it is thought best to allot one building to the children, as this work is one of the most valuable educational features of the fair.
Construction Starts
Immediately.
Various bids were received on the Poultry house and included local contractors: Koop & Sons, $2,850; Weilandt & Stegemann, $2,778 and Otto Tappe, $2,725. The successful bidders will start the construction of the building at once and it will be in readiness when the Brown County Fair opens this year on Thursday, August 27.
