HEAVY RAINFALL IS RECORDED IN JUNE

Precipitation During

Month Exceeds That Of

First Part Of Year.

——–

Exceeding by far all records established during the past twenty-five years, eleven and one hundredths inches of rain fell in New Ulm during the month of June, Alex Henle, government weather observer, said this morning.

During the month which came to amend at midnight Tuesday an amount far in excess of the total for the first five months of the year fell. The average precipitation per month in New Ulm generally ranges between two and three inches and as there was very little precipitation during the first months of the year it is estimated that twice as much fell during the month of June as during the first five months.

Heaviest June 11.

The heaviest rainfall came on June,11, when 4.15 inches of rain fell. Other high peaks were on June 16 when 1.80 inches fell and on June 2, when 1.45 inches of rain came down. June 7 also saw a good rainfall with .85 inches with .60 inches on June 3.The balance of the 11.1 inches came down during different days in the month and ranged from 05. to .35 inches.
