CONSTRUCTION of the new city library here has been delayed because demolition and site clearance is still not complete.

General contractor Heymann Construction doesn’t want to get equipment and buildings on the site while demolition

crews are still there, according to City Manager Richard Salvati. The library plan has changed since its presentation to

the council two years ago. A ramp entrance on Broadway has been eliminated, for example. Shown here is a small scale
