2 Science awards to state fair
Two exhibits from Central Catholic Middle School in New Ulm have been selected for entry in the state science fair April 25-27 in St. Paul Hotel.
Mary Groebner, won a trip to the state science fair with her exhibit on plant cancer while Janice Helget won for her dry cell battery project.
Julie Gleisner won a plaque from the Blue Earth County Pharmaceutical Society for an outstanding exhibit in the field of pharmaceutical services. She also received a radio, photo cube and a bottle of vitamins.
Mrs. Ron Luker, science instructor, reported these other placings for CCS.

SECOND PLACE WINNERS — Linday Schreyer and Karen Frericks, Diane Portner, Kim Fenske and Chris Groebner, Liz Rubie and Kim Drahota, Kay Swanson and Cindy Ringhofer, Jim A. Brown, Jerry Pettis and Dave Furth, Julie Gleisner, Betty Anderl, Joann Griebel, Andy Kitzberger, Gary Davis, Kay Fischer.
THIRD PLACE WINNERS — Tony Berg and Chuck Beranek, Mark Rieger, Carol Grieble, Tom Haubrich, Bill Brown.
