New Ulm Police • Received a two-car crash report at 7:33 a.m. Tuesday at 5th North and State Street. A 2008 car driven by Joseph Gillis, 18, New Ulm, was northbound on State St., stopped for a stop sign, pulled forward and was hit by a 2017 SUV driven westbound on 5th North by Peter Schletz, 42, New Ulm. The SUV was towed away with front end/side damage. The car had similar damage but was driven from the scene. Both drivers wore seat belts.
New Ulm Police • Officers responded to a report of physical domestic Sunday. Officers spoke with a 27-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of New Ulm. Officers noticed red marks on the woman’s shoulders as well as scratch marks on her bicep and elbow area. The woman injuries were caused by the male shoving her against a wall. The male said he was “bear hugged” by the female. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. The woman did not seek medial attention. The man was cited for domestic assault. A 2019 Dodge Durango was driven east on 8th North by Jessica Kay Gieseke, 43, New Ulm, when it collided with a 2017 Volkswagen Passat driven by southbound on Franklin Street by Jayme Lynn Enamorado, 38, New Ulm. Damage was disabling to both vehicles. Gieseke had a suspected minor head/neck injury.
