New Ulm Diabetes Walk October 5

The 10th Annual New Ulm Diabetes Walk will take place at Flandrau State Park on Saturday, October 5. This is a Strides, Lions for Diabetes Awareness Event and is a collaboration of the Lions Club of New Ulm and the Lafayette Area Lions Club. This is an approximately a half mile walk on Flandrau park's beautiful trails. Free admission to the park is included. Children, pets and strollers are welcome to this family friendly event. Police Chief presenting on Emergency Management System

New Ulm's Chief of Police, Dave Borchert, will be giving a presentation on New Ulm's Emergency Management System in the Cafetorium at the New Ulm Community Center at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. The Community Center is located at 600 North German Street in New Ulm. New Ulm Emergency Management is constantly preparing for many events that include flooding, tornados, ice storms, and domestic terror.
