Hub Club Pancake Breakfast June 14

NEW ULM – The New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club pancake grillers will be serving up a June Dairy Month Pancake Breakfast Saturday morning, June 14 at the Brown County Fairgrounds. The 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. breakfast will precede the start of the Southern Minnesota Youth Dairy Show and the Polka Town Hog Show. With two shows and lots of animals taking over the barns, the breakfast will be held in the 4-H Building, across from the Youth Coliseum. Menards food drop off site

Local Menards home improvement stores are now serving as a drop site for a local food pantry through the months of June and July. Menards offers a wide variety of non-perishable food items that can be donated to the food pantries, from boxes of cereal to cans of soup that can be found in our grocery department for immediate donation. There is a large collection box near the exit doors to place donations. The Menards food drive starts in June and runs through July 31.

VFW seeks volunteers to remove flags

NEW ULM – At 9 a.m. Saturday June 14 the New Ulm VFW Post are planning to remove flags from the veteran burial sites in Soldiers Rest section of the New Ulm Cemetery. The VFW is seeking extra help with the removal. Any interested in helping is encourage to come to the cemetery at 9 a.m. Saturday. If inclement weather, the removal will be moved to 9 a.m. Monday June 16.
