NEW ULM -- Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm is serving as as a drop-off sites for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox program. Operation Christmas Child shoe box is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. The mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, personal care items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their communities. NEW ULM -- The New Ulm Sister Cities Commission is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the year 2026 Hans Joohs Cultural Exchange Program. The recipient of this award will live 12-weeks in or near the City of Ulm, Germany. The New Ulm Sister Cities Commission will provide transportation to and from Germany. The cooperating Ulm organizations will provide housing and a modest stipend in a career setting or settings based on the recipient's background and interests.
