NEW ULM — Menards is serving as a drop site for the Brown County Humane Society April 1 through May 1, 2026. A large donation collection box can be found near the store exit doors. The store offers pet food, feeders, collars, beds, storage containers, mats and other items in its Pet & Wildlife Department for immediate donation.

Living Without Limits

The New Ulm Human Rights Commission (HRC) invites the community to join the next Living Without Limits educational session at 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 at the New Ulm Public Library. This session will focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder and offers a chance to hear firsthand about the everyday challenges faced by neighbors. Sprenger to speak at NU Garden Club meeting

The New Ulm Garden Club will meet 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1  at the New Ulm Airport at 6:30 pm. The guest speaker will be Mike Sprenger from Bluestem Perennials near Comfrey, Mn, a nursery and landscape company that offers trees, shrubs, perennials, succulents, vegetables and herbs, as well as seasonal decor. He will speak on his nursery and offer tips, suggestions and answer questions on what to plant in pots and in gardens steps. The Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. Garden Club, membership dues are $5 per year.

ProMusica Chamber Music series receives $2,000 from NUAF
