BOLD crushes Cathedral

NEW ULM — Makenna Steffel scored 30 points as BOLD crushed New Ulm Cathedral 74-28 on Thursday in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.
Cathedral held a brief lead early in the game before the Warriors took charge on a 9-0 run. BOLD put together an 11-0 run before Rose Hazuka dropped two free throws giving BOLD a 32-11 halftime advantage.
The Warriors continued their scoring ways in the second half, scoring 18 consecutive points. Schwarz hit a 2-point shot to end the run.
Six different BOLD players scored midway through the second half. Hazuka and McKenna Miling were able to score for the Greyhounds. Miling got the Greyhound’s final basket.
Rose Hazuka led the Greyhounds with 11 points and Becca Schwarz added 8 points.
Cathedral (0-6, 0-4) will host Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity on Tuesday.
