MARSHALL — Hunter Larson pitched a complete game for the New Ulm Legion Gold on Tuesday, helping the Gold hold off Marshall 2-1 in a legion baseball game. Larson allowed just three hits and one walk for one earned run in the win while striking out three. He threw 90 pitches. He also was 1 for 4 with an RBI at the plate. Candon Briggs was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI to lead the Gold, while Zach Hubbard was 2 for 4 with a triple and Jake Finstad was 1 for 2 with a double.

MARSHALL — Sleepy Eye defeated Marshall 3-2 in a junior legion baseball game on Tuesday. Caleb Oscarson earned the win for Sleepy Eye, walking three and allowing no hits or runs in two innings. Adam Braulik made the start, striking out one and allowing two runs on five hits in four innings. At the plate, Jaxon Saenz was 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Merrick Mathiowetz was 2 for 3 with a run scored. Braulik had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, while Tyler Sellner had the game-winning RBI single.
