Late home run lifts Brewers by Twins
MILWAUKEE — Jedd Gyorko’s home run in the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie as Milwaukee defeated Minnesota 6-4 on Tuesday night.
Manny Pina hit two home runs for the Brewers, one in the fifth inning and one in the sixth inning. His two-run homer in the sixth inning tied the game at 4-4.
Minnesota jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning after Jorge Polanco and Eddie Rosario each hit a solo home run. Rosario, who hit a grand slam on Monday against the Brewers, later hit a home run in the third inning, his sixth of the season.
Avisail Garcia hit a sole home run in the bottom of the first for the Brewers.
Josh Hader pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the save. Devin Williams earned the win for the Brewers in relief.
