STORM LAKE, IOWA — Martin Luther College lost 6-1 and 2-1 in a nonconference softball doubleheader against Buena Vista University on Monday.

GAME 1

Kieghtan Rank took the loss for MLC in the first game, allowing six runs, two earned, on 11 hits with three strikeouts in seven innings of work. At the plate, Sarah Yonkovich was 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Chloe Berg and Kaylee Pickering were both 2 for 4. Rank had a hit and a run scored.

GAME 2

Rank took the loss in the second game for the Knights as well, pitching 6 1/3 innings and striking out three while allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits. At the plate, Kiara Humann was 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Chloe Koschnitzke was 2 for 4. Rank was 1 for 3 with a run scored.

MLC (1-12) plays at Crown College on Wednesday.
