Guetter earns Tomahawk Boys Basketball POTY

The Tomahawk-Valley Conference, All-Tomahawk Division Boys Basketball Team was announced Wednesday night, with Wabasso’s Brayden Guetter earning the Tomahawk Division Boys Basketball Player of the Year award.

The senior was joined on the All-Tomahawk team by junior teammate Caden Frericks and sophomore teammate Drew Kemp. Wabasso head coach Scott Leopold was also named the Tomahawk Division Coach of the Year after tying with Springfield for the best record in Tomahawk games this season, going 15-1.

Also on the team was Springfield’s Bryan Buerkle, Brecken Heiling and Madden Lendt, along with Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Cole Jacobson, who was the lone three-time selection. Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s had Adam Steffensmeier make the team, while Lester Prairie had Eli LaMott, Sleepy Eye had Brayden Heiderscheidt and New Ulm Cathedral had Eli Anderson.

Honorable Mention players were Springfield’s Parker Kuehn, GFW’s Kaden Rieke, St. Marys’ Brecken Hulke, Lester Prairie’s Bennett Herrmann, Sleepy Eye’s Eric Lozano, Cedar Mountain’s Thomas Dahmes and Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart’s Cameron McColley.
