MLC’s Loberger and Pearson earn All-UMAC honors

ST. PAUL — The 2025-26 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball awards were officially released on Wednesday, and the Martin Luther College had two sophomore players recognized in Adam Loberger and Benjamin Pearson.
Loberger was named second-Team All-Conference, leading the UMAC in scoring (23.0 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (7.9 rpg). The forward was also second on MLC in assists (56) and led the Knights in free-throw percentage (81.5).
Pearson earned Honorable Mention in the UMAC and was third in the conference in rebounding (8.5 rpg). Pearson finished second on the Knights in scoring (17.0 ppg) and steals (27), and finished with the highest field goal percentage on the squad (46.5).
Meanwhile, junior Trey Lauber was given the MLC Individual Sportsmanship award.
All three players were instrumental toward the Knights having their best season since 2008-09, when they went 17-9 overall, 11-3 UMAC atop the UMAC standings. In 2025-26, MLC finished 11-14, 5-7 UMAC, and fifth in the conference.
