Steffl sets career rebounding mark at Cedar Mountain

MORGAN — With Aubrey Steffl’s 12 rebounds on Thursday night in a Section 2A Girls Basketball Tournament quarterfinals game against Sleepy Eye, she became Cedar Mountain’s all-time leading rebounder.

Steffl led the Cougars to a 79-49 win over Sleepy Eye in the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Steffl’s 12 rebounds passed the school’s previous record-holder Paige Richert, who had 1,055 career rebounds. Steffl now sits at 1,057 rebounds for her career.

The third-seeded Cougars take on No. 2-seeded BOLD on Monday night at 7:45 p.m. at Gustavus Adolphus College.
