WORTHINGTON — Bodey Hagberg had a four-goal night for New Ulm Thursday night to help the Eagles roll by Worthington 14-0 in a nonconference boys hockey game.
Hunter Larson also had a hat trick and two assists for New Ulm, while Mason Buegler had two goals and two assists. Jaxon Saenz added a goal and three assists, while Melvin Sellner had a goal and two assists, Masyn Hauser had a goal and an assist, Braxton Rahe had a goal and Camden Berg had a goal.
Colton Anderson had his first career shutout in net for New Ulm with 10 saves.
New Ulm (6-6) will host Redwood Valley on Saturday night at 7 p.m. on Hockey Day New Ulm.

St. Mary’s 71,
Cleveland 65
CLEVELAND — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s took down Cleveland 71-65 on Thursday night in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover boys basketball game.
Michael Balko led the way for St. Mary’s with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Cooper Walter had 14 points and four rebounds. Brecken Hulke added 8 points and 13 rebounds, while Eli Christensen chipped in 8 points.
St. Mary’s (6-4) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Cedar Mountain 57
MORGAN — Cedar Mountain fell to Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther 68-57 on Thursday in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover boys basketball game.
Thomas Dahmes led Cedar Mountain with 26 points, while Carson Schiller had 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Jackson Guetter had 6 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Cedar Mountain (1-7) is at Wabasso for a Tomahawk Division game on Friday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Cathedral 40, GFW 19
WINTHROP — New Ulm Cathedral rolled to a 40-19 win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Thursday in a Tomahawk Division girls basketball game.
Shay Wilfahrt led the Greyhounds in the win with 15 points, while Jayde Altermatt added 10 points.
GFW was led by Keyden Buboltz’s 6 points, while Brynn Caspers added 5 points.
Cathedral (3-8, 2-5) is at Renville County West for a nonconference game Friday, while GFW (2-9, 1-6) is at Wabasso for a Tomahawk game Monday night.
Willmar 73, New Ulm 58
WILLMAR — Willmar defeated New Ulm 73-58 in a nonconference girls basketball game on Thursday.
Maggie Joyce led the Eagles with 19 points and three assists, while Brooklyn Lewis had 17 points and seven steals.
New Ulm (8-3) is at Waseca on Jan. 16.
Nicollet 52, Loyola 37
NICOLLET — Nicollet beat Mankato Loyola 52-37 on Thursday night in a Valley Division girls basketball game.
Nicollet was led by Cheyenne Klockziem’s 19 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Jazmyn Goettlicher added 14 points, five rebounds, five assists and four blocks. Shelby Beyer added 6 points and five steals also for Nicollet, while Zoie Rengstorf had 4 points and five assists and Megan Soost added 4 points.
Amelia Speckle led Loyola with 22 points, while Isabella Endress added 10 points.
Nicollet (7-5, 5-1) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran in nonconference action on Saturday.
