NEW ULM — It was total domination.
The New Ulm Eagles fired 58 shots on Windom Area goaltender Fiona Robillard and 11 of them got past her as the Eagles blanked Windom 11-0 Thursday night in a Big South Conference crossover girls hockey game at the New Ulm Civic Center.
Maddi Olson collected her second hat trick of the season.
Tristyn Wolner added two goals with Abby Forstner, Tenley Wertish, Zoey Zins, Brecklyn Harazin, Kaeylnn Welsh and Callie Haugen each adding goals.
Zins’ goal was her first varsity goal.

Callie Haugen, Brielyn Weston and Wolner each added two helpers.
New Ulm goaltender Ava Schmid stopped all eight Windom shots.
New Ulm head coach Derek Johnson said he was most pleased that he was able to use all four lines in the game.
“They all contributed in the game,” he said. “We were able to spread out the offense and we also used three sets of defensemen, too.”
The Eagles, now 3-4 overall, took a 4-0 lead in the first period as Olson, Forstner, Wertish and Wolner scored goals in a period that saw New Ulm outshoot Windom 28-1.
The Eagles added four more scores in the second period as Olson added two more goals, with Zins’ goal and Wolner’s second goal having New Ulm in cruise control at 8-0 after the first 34 minutes.
New Ulm also allowed Windom just one shot on goal in that period.
“I liked that we were taking care of business against a team that we were supposed to,” Johnson said. “Our focus is to sharpen our skills to get ready to play top teams — we can sharpen our skills on things that we have been working on in practice.”
Harazin, Welsh and a Callie Haugen goal in the third period tied a bow on a dominating win by the Eagles, who face a tough Marshall team on the road next Tuesday.
“I do not believe that we created any bad habits tonight — we passed the puck well and we worked the puck down low well and we centered the puck pretty well,” Johnson said.
