LUVERNE — The Springfield/Cedar Mountain cross-country team wrapped up its season at the Section 3A Cross-Country Championships on Thursday at Luverne High School.

For the Springfield/CM boys, who took ninth out of 20 teams, senior Matthew Groebner had the team’s top time with a time of 17:43, which gave him 22nd place. Luka Fernandez took 40th with a time of 18:46.6, while Dylan Dewitt took 42nd (18:52.2), Bryan Buerkle took 60th (19:48.5) and Matt Fernandez took 76th (20:33.7).

The Springfield/CM girls, who finished fourth out of 15 teams, were led by Marissa Pabst, who took 22nd with a time of 21:08.31, while Katie Thram took 23rd (21:09.98). Emmie McCone took 30th (21:59.23) also for Springfield/CM, while Lydia Dauer took 34th (22:08.95) and Sylvia Hovland finished 41st (22:17.17).
