MANKATO — The New Ulm Eagles’ cross-country season came to end Thursday at the Section 2AA Cross-Country Championships at Benson Park.

New Ulm freshman Benjamin Oswald ran a PR time of 24:09.4 to take 71st, while Jack Oswald finished second (24:44.8) and Lincoln Kruz finished 73rd with a PR time of 26:35.6. Also for the New Ulm boys, Elijah Lovig took 74th (30:12.8), while Alex Hillman took 75th (30:14.7) and Carew Hanson took 76th (30:17.4, PR).

New Ulm’s lone girls runner and senior, Megan Gauert, was unable to finish the second half of the race but ran the first 2.5k in 11:26.9.
