Raiders drop high-scoring affair to Falcons
NICOLLET — While the Nicollet Raiders put ample points on the board Friday night in a Nine-Man South District, West Subdistrict football game against Red Rock Central, the Falcons were a step ahead offensively as they held on to win 77-44.
Henry Oscarson threw for 167 yards and a touchdown and an interception on 20-of-31 passing for the Raiders, while Abram Madson completed 5 of 6 passes for 59 yards. Oscarson had 21 carries for 99 yards and two TDs also, while Madson had seven carries for 51 yards and two TDs, Talan Osborne had 11 carries for 50 yards and a score and Lane Zimmerman had seven carries for 40 yards. Henry Kennedy had six catches for 52 yards for the Raiders, while Colton Rengstorf caught six passes for 47 yards and a score, Osborne had three catches for 29 yards, Carson Kettner had three catches for 23 yards and Dawson Roberts had two catches for 38 yards.
Osborne and Oscarson led the Raiders in tackles with six apiece, while Zimmerman added a sack and forced fumble. Matt Klingerman forced a fumble also, while Landyn Erickson forced a fumble and recovered two fumbles.
Nicollet (0-2) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday night.
