Arlington Raceway to host Stock Car Shootout

ARLINGTON — The Sibley County Fair Stock Car Shootout sponsored by Geib Well & Water of Arlington and presented by Justice Brothers of Eden Prairie is shaping up to be a premier event in southern Minnesota. The IMCA Stock Car feature will pay $5,000 to Win with $200 to start the race. There will also be lap money for the entire 30 laps. There will be random position draws for $500 and some mystery draws. Geib Well & Water will also sponsor $100 hardcharger award in each class and a $100 hardluck award. Prairie Grill & Bar of Belle Plaine is sponsoring $200 to the driver that tows the farthest. My Race Pass is sponsoring a $100 to the fastest recorded lap time. Heat races winners will also get money. Justice Brothers is also sponsoring the Justice Brothers draw for the qualifiers of the feature which will be an entertaining twist to the event.
The IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds and Hobby divisions will be the support classes for the event. The Sport Modifieds will pay $800 to Win and the Hobby feature will pay $500 to Win. These classes will also see some mystery position draws as well.
The pit area will open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand will open at 5 p.m. with racing action beginning at 7 p.m. The race will also be live streamed on imca.tv for those that can’t make it in person.
