SACRED HEART — The Wabasso Jaxx suffered a 5-0 shutout loss to the Sacred Hearts Saints on Wednesday night in a Corn Belt League amateur baseball game.

Wabasso was held to three hits in the loss, which came on singles from Adryen Tietz, Joe Liebl and Noah Anderson. Maxim Dillon took the mound loss in four innings for Wabasso, allowing five hits and three walks for five runs, three earned, while striking out eight.

Jack Howard earned the complete-game shutout for Sacred Heart, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out 10. Ayden Gustafson led Sacred Heart at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
