SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye Legion Post 7 downed Mankato Loyola Post 11 on Military Appreciation Night Tuesday 9-3 in a legion baseball game.

Carson Uecker led Sleepy Eye at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, while Austin Uecker was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Chino Luna was 2 for 2 also for Sleepy Eye.

Kayden Klein got the complete-game win for Post 7, allowing eight hits and a walk for one earned run while striking out two.

Sleepy Eye is at Johnson Park in New Ulm to take on New Ulm Legion Gold at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
