Jaxx beat Kilowatts behind Liebl’s 21-K night
GRANITE FALLS — Joe Liebl put together a 21-strikeout, complete-game effort on Friday night to help the Wabasso Jaxx take down the Granite City Kilowatts in a Corn Belt League amateur baseball game.
Liebl allowed just two hits and three walks for one earned run in his mound win, the only main blemish being a solo home run he surrendered to Bryce Sneller in the fourth.
Liebl also had a home run himself, his being a two-run homer in the top of the fourth.
Adryen Tietz was 2 for 5 with a run scored to lead Wabasso, while CJ Theis was 1 for 4 with two RBIs.
Bennett Knapper pitched all nine innings for Granite City, allowing six hits and two walks for three earned runs while striking out 13.
