BREWERS MILITARY
APPRECIATION NIGHT
Sunday is “Military Appreciation Night” at Johnson Park when the New Ulm Brewers host Sleepy Eye at 5 p.m. in a Tomahawk East League match-up.
The New Ulm Baseball Association will be giving each veteran in attendance a free hamburger, french fry and drink.
The New Ulm Area Color Guard will be there along with the Legion Riders and veteran Denny Warta is going to throw out the first pitch.
As always, there is no admission to Brewers games.
GREYHOUNDS CONSISTENTLY IMPRESSIVE
Over the last five seasons, the New Ulm Cathedral baseball team has posted a 107-26 record (a .804 winning percentage). The team has made the state tournament in three of those five years, with a third-place finish in 2023 and a second-place finish this past season. I don’t think that there are a lot of high schools in any class that can match that mark.
