SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s took a 3-0 loss to Mankato Loyola in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover baseball game on Wednesday.

Tyler Mathiowetz took the loss for St. Mary’s, striking out six and allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks in seven innings. At the plate, Merrick Mathiowetz was 2 for 3, while Tyler Mathiowetz and Jack Windscheitl each had a hit.

St. Mary’s (5-5) hosts Madelia on Friday.
