SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Tigers downed the Windom Area Eagles 75-61 on Tuesday night in a nonconference boys basketball game.
Brecken Heiling led the Tigers in the victory with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals, while Brayden Sturm had 14 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Also for Springfield, Bryan Buerkle had 9 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, while Isaac Fredin had 9 points and eight rebounds.
The Tigers shot 42% from the floor to Windom Area’s 39.7%. The Tigers also dominated on the glass with 49 rebounds to Windom Area’s 31.
Springfield (23-2) is at Tracy-Milroy-Balaton for a Friday night game next.
Nicollet 85, Loyola 78
MANKATO — The Nicollet Raiders stretched their winning streak to seven games on Tuesday night with an 85-78 win over Mankato Loyola in a Valley Division boys basketball game.
Henry Kennedy led the Raiders with 24 points and five rebounds, while Carson Kettner had 18 points and four rebounds. Henry Oscarson added 15 points and five rebounds for Nicollet, while Keegan Hulke had 10 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Nicollet, now 13-12, travels to Arlington to take on Sibley East next on Tuesday.

Sibley East 71
ARLINGTON — Sibley East suffered a narrow 75-71 loss to Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial on Tuesday in a South Central Conference boys basketball game.
Quintin DeVlaeminck led the Wolverines in the loss with 33 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Ezra Weber had 18 points and Will Feterl had 6 points.
Sibley East (6-16) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Windom Area 92,
Springfield 62
SPRINGFIELD — Springfield fell to Windom Area 92-62 on Tuesday night in a nonconference girls basketball game.
The Class AA Windom Area Eagles finished their regular season 20-6 with the win, while the Tigers finished their regular season 14-11.
Olivia Milbrath led the Tigers with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Emma Hauger had 14 points and four rebounds. Jasmine Novotny and Jada Reese each added 9 points for Springfield.
Springfield is the No. 5 seed in the Section 2A tournament and hosts No. 12 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7 p.m. on Monday in playoff action.
