NEW ULM — The Martin Luther College men’s basketball team had another impressive performance in their 90-76 exhibition win over Waldorf on Saturday in the LSC gymnasium.
The Knights shot an electric 51.5 percent on 17-of-33 from 3-point territory to secure the double-digit victory over the Warriors, with freshmen Benjamin Pearson and Adam Loberger lighting it up from deep. Pearson finished with a game-high 32 points while shooting 10 of 14 (71 percent) from the floor, including 6 of 8 from beyond the arc. The guard also made plays defensively and was a pest, leading the Knights with four steals.
Loberger scored 21 points and grabbed seven boards while knocking down four 3-point attempts.
Ethan Kjenstad scored 16 points, while Trey Lauber had 11 points and went 3 of 4 from deep.
MLC will prepare for its season opener against Rockford on Friday, Nov. 8, where the Knights tip off the regular season in the LSC at 3 p.m.
