Madelyn Haala, a senior setter for the Cathedral volleyball team, recently surpassed 1,000 career set assists, collecting 10 assists in Monday night’s volleyball match against Mankato Loyola.

Q: What is your favorite Halloween costume you’ve

gone as?

A: I went as a pirate last year with two of my volleyball teammates.

Q: What is your go-to fast

food place?

A: Anywhere with a burger. Love cheeseburgers, burgers, anything.

Q: Which teammate is most likely to make you laugh?

A: Jaylin Hartness. We’ve been friends since elementary school. And she was my 1,000th assist, so that was nice.

Q: What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

A: I went to Florida with my family last year for Christmas and when I was in elementary school. It was fun to go back there.

Q: What is your favorite

workout or drill?

A: It’s called the pit drill. You just dig and you’re just constantly getting balls thrown and hit at you. It’s really fun.
