ST. JAMES — New Ulm swept St. James 25-23, 25-18, 25-22 in a Big South Conference volleyball match on Thursday.
Morgan Hulke led the Eagles with eight kills, 12 digs and three blocks, while Brooklyn Lewis had six kills and three digs. Makenzie Enter had 17 set assists, four kills and seven digs, and Calli Koop had 11 digs.
New Ulm (3-17, 3-4) hosts St. Peter on Tuesday.
Cedar Mountain 3, RRC 0
MORGAN — Cedar Mountain swept Red Rock Central 25-21, 25-16, 25-17 in a nonconference volleyball match on Thursday.
Kendra Erickson had nine kills, nine digs and five set assists for the Cougars, while Reagyn Kleinschmidt had eight kills, six total blocks, nine set assists and nine digs. Aubrey Steffl had three kills and 16 digs, while Sami Gruendemann had three kills, four aces, three blocks and three digs. Brynn Hoffbeck had 16 digs.
Cedar Mountain (11-7) plays at Southwest Minnesota State in a tournament on Friday.

SHERBURN — Martin County West swept Madelia 25-15, 25-20, 25-20 Thursday in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Valley Division volleyball match.
Ashlynn Sweet led the Blackhawks with nine kills, four digs and two blocks, while Katherine DeVlaeminck had five kills and five blocks. Makayla Sorenson had four kills, eight digs and a block, while Lauryn Grev had three kills and nine digs. Alicia Lugo had 11 set assists and three digs, while Payton Bruns had 16 digs.
Cleveland 3, Nicollet 0
CLEVELAND — Cleveland swept Nicollet 25-11, 25-12, 25-15 Thursday in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Valley Division volleyball match.
Savannah Klockziem led the Raiders with five kills and 11 digs, while Mia Lambrecht had 13 set assists and Megan Soost had a block.
Nicollet (5-16, 0-6) travels to St. Clair on Monday.

Springfield, MVL, SM/SE/NUC race at
Sleepy Eye meet
SLEEPY EYE — Springfield, Minnesota Valley Lutheran and St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral, along with six other teams, all competed at a Sleepy Eye Cross Country meet on Thursday. The Springfield girls place second and the MVL girls placed fourth, while the SM/SE/NUC boys placed third, the Springfield boys placed fourth and the MVL boys placed fifth.
Marissa Pabst led the Springfield girls with a time of 20:23.70, placing third. Katie Thram (21:14.28) placed seventh, while Lydia Dauer (21:22.96) placed 10th. Sylvia Hovland (21:51.99) took 14th, and Abby Groebner (23:37.50) took 26th.
For the SM/SE/NUC girls, Emma Hagen place fifth with a time of 20:58.21, while Millie Lax (21:31.05) placed 11th. Teresa Fischer (24:15.80) took 30th.
Natalie Matzke led the MVL girls with a time of 21:41.27, placing 13th. Faith Peters (22:59.83) took 22nd place, while Ziva Zahrt (24:13.55) placed 29th.
Noah Christensen led the SM/SE/NUC boys, placing eighth with a time of 17:34.35, while Raul Rodriguez (17:47.94) placed 10th and Levi Hagen (17:48.58) placed 11th. Max Fischer (18:36.22) placed 23rd, and Eli Christensen (19:05.08) placed 30th.
For the Springfield boys, Matthew Groebner took third with a time of 17:06.37, while Dylan Dewitt (17:55.43) placed 13th. Luka Fernandez (18:09.94) took 14th, while Bryan Buerkle (18:40.93) placed 25th.
Leading the MVL boys was Jeremy Feistner, who finished seventh with a time of 17:36.31, and Titus Kohls (17:43.62) placed ninth.
