LAMBERTON — The Lamberton Longsox defeated the Sleepy Eye Indians 4-2 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game Sunday.

Brady Bierl earned the win on the mound, striking out six while allowing five hits and one earned run on seven innings. At the plate, Eli Fest was 1 for 4 with two RBIs, two stolen bases and a run scored, while Nick Eichten and Will Carlson each had a hit and a run scored.

Nick Mielke took the loss for Sleepy Eye, striking out three while allowing six hits and four runs, one earned, in eight innings. At the plate, Luke Mielke was 2 for 4 with an RBI while Nick Mielke was 2 for 4.

Lamberton 9, Searles 2

The Lamberton Longsox downed the Searles Grizzlies 9-2 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game Sunday.

STARK — The Stark Longhorns downed the Essig Bluejays 6-3 in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game Sunday.

Adam Sellner got the win for Stark, striking out five while allowing three runs on 12 hits and one walk in eight innings. Dylan Klein got the save in one inning of relief, striking out one. At the plate for the Longhorns, Zach Haala was 3 for 5 with a home run and two runs scored, while Nick Labat was 2 for 5 with two RBIs. Brandon Helget was 2 for 4 with a run scored, while Sellner was 1 for 4 with two RBIs.

Winsten Nienhaus took the loss for Essig, striking out one while allowing three earned runs on four hits and a walk in an inning of work. Justin Haugo got the win, pitching all seven innings with 10 strikeouts while allowing one run on five hits and one walk. At the plate for Springfield, Ryan Strum was 3 for 5 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Jacob Poelher was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and one run scored. Luke Boyle was 2 for 5 with two runs scored, while Jordan Milbrath was 1 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
