ST. JAMES — Sleepy Eye Junior legion took down St. James 9-4 in an American junior legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Kayden Klein got the win for Sleepy Eye, striking out three while allowing three hits and two runs in five innings pitched. Klein was also 1 for 4 with a triple at the base, while Merrick Mathiowetz was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, while Gavin Strong was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two run scored.

Sleepy Eye travels to Madelia on Tuesday.
