Neubarth named new AD at NUHS

NEW ULM — Adam Neubarth is the new Activities Director at New Ulm High School.

Neubarth replaces Troy Guentzel, who has accepted a position at St. Clair High School as principal for grades 7-12.

Neubarth had been the Dean of Students at NUHS.

A graduate of Norwood Young America High School and Gustavus Adolphus College, Neubarth graduated with a degree in Elementary Education K-6.

“I spent six years in Slayton, Minnesota, at Murray County Central High School teaching math and social studies and took a job last year here as Dean of Students,” he said.

Neubarth said that getting the Activities Directors job at NUHS is exciting.

“It is a large job, but I am excited for the opportunity and for the growth,” he said. “I am trying to step in in transition right now and get things organized and put together. We are starting our plans to make changes in the future, whether it is scheduling working with coaches.”

Neubarth did some duties this past year in sharing those Activities Director job with Guentzel.

“So it should be a little bit easier transition so it will not be completely brand new,” he said.

Neubarth will also be Assistant Principal.

Starting at $4.38/week.
