Andres, a 2024 Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s grad, shot a 119 on Day 1 and a 108 on Day 2 of the Section 2A Girls Golf Tournament that concluded on Monday, placing seventh overall to help the Sleepy Eye United Girls Golf team advance to state for the third consecutive year.

Q: What is your favorite club

to use?

A: My driver, 100% without a doubt in my mind.

Q: Who is your favorite golfer?

A: Scottie Scheffler. That’s basic, but it’s who I’ve

always liked.

Q: What is a hobby you have outside of sports?

A: I’m an avid artist. I draw, I paint, I doodle, I’m writing

on anything.

Q: What is your favorite course to play on?

A: I’m a sucker for my home course (Sleepy Eye Golf Course) but if I’m not allowed to choose my home course, I’d choose Oakdale Golf Course.

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: The 1992 Newsies with Christian Bale.
