New Ulm 75, TCU 35

MONTGOMERY — New Ulm downed Tri City United 75-35 on Tuesday in a nonconference girls basketball contest.

The Eagle’s Daviney Dreckman had 16 points, five rebounds and seven steals. Maddie Backer added 16 points and five steals, while Morgan Hulke chipped in 14 points and Ramsey Hopp scored 10 points and had four steals.

New Ulm (1-0) will play at Belle Plaine on Thursday.

Sibley East 65, MVL 30

ARLINGTON — Sibley East rolled by Minnesota Valley Lutheran 65-30 on Tuesday in a nonconference girls basketball game.

Mackenzie Merseth led the Chargers with 10 points, while Avery Freier added 6 points and Marley Schauer scored 5 points.

MVL (0-1) will play at Cedar Mountain (0-1) on Friday.

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey edged Cedar Mountain 80-76 in overtime on Tuesday in a nonconference girls basketball game.

Kendra Erickson scored 20 points and had eight rebounds for the Cougars. Brooklyn Diehn had 20 points and seven rebounds, while Aubrey Steffl added 13 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Brynn Hoffbeck added 12 points and five rebounds.

Cedar Mountain (0-1) will play at Renville County West on Thursday.

Nicollet 86, Cleveland 72

NICOLLET — Nicollet had three players score in double digits as the Raiders defeated Cleveland 86-72 on Tuesday in a Valley Conference girls basketball game.

Leah Bode led all scorers with 34 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and six steals. Cheyenne Klockziem had 20 points, 16 rebounds and five steals, while Savannah Klockziem added 18 points and seven rebounds.

Cleveland had four players score in double digits. Ave Hahn scored 19 points, Greta Hahn had 15 points, Lacey McCabe scored 12 points and Mollie Bowman had 11 points.

NIcollet (1-0) will play at Martin County West on Friday.
