NEW ULM — After a two-week rain delay, the weather was perfect for the New Ulm Tennis Association’s 23rd annual doubles tournament Sunday, sponsored by NUVERA and the NUTA.

It was a great day for local tennis players to showcase their talents on the MLC courts and provided competitive play and a lot of fun for the fans watching as well. The round-robin format allowed each team to compete against one another throughout the afternoon.

Earning first place was the doubles team of Daniel Brownfield and Charlie Weidman, second place went to Joey Kotten and Ethan Neet and third-place winners were Mike and Sarah Kunard. The NUTA meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 – 8; Saturdays from 8-10 at the MLC courts. For more information find us on Facebook: New Ulm Tennis Association.
