NEW ULM — Students interested in competing in a fall activity this year are welcome to join the New Ulm High School bowling team.

The team welcomes all students from New Ulm, New Ulm Cathedral and Minnesota Valley Lutheran between grades 7-12. The parents and kids meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at Concordia Lanes. The team practices to to three times a week based on student schedules and works with other fall sports.

Meets take place Saturday mornings as a traveling league in New Ulm, Gibbon, Gaylord and Hutchinson. Tournaments throughout the year earn scholarship money.

The bowling team focuses on team building, making new friends and learning a lifelong skill.
