Ethan Schmidt of New Ulm recently competed in two U.S Kids Golf Tournaments in the 10-year-old age group. On Sunday, September 11, at Gopher Hills Golf Course in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Schmidt shot a (+7) 43 and took third place, finishing two shots shy of the winner.

On Sunday, September 18, at Bristol Ridge Golf Course in Somerset, Wisconsin, Schmidt took first place and won by five strokes, shooting a (+2) 38 on the day.

With three of the six Minneapolis Fall Tour Events completed, Schmidt currently leads the league standings in points accumulated. The next tournament is September 25 in Faribault, Minnesota, at Legacy Golf Course.
